In 2023, Shopify was named a category leader in digital commerce by Gartner for the first time. They came to my team needing a refreshed look that would resonate with their enterprise audience and bring a level of polish and sophistication they hadn’t yet achieved with their core brand.
My task was to take the beginnings of a brand identity, push its limits, and mold it into a toolkit to guide Shopify’s internal teams and partners into the future.

A polished new look for a category-defying commerce platform
We delivered an elevated expression for Shopify’s new enterprise context, while still maintaining key elements of their core brand. The final brand identity enabled Shopify to not only articulate their enterprise offering clearly for the first time, but also imagine entirely new ways for Shopify to come to life.
