Harold and the Purple Crayon: The Interactive Exhibit
The power to create your own reality with a simple purple line.
I translated this popular children's book into an interactive museum exhibit where visitors can draw their own reality around them.
This exhibit is designed to be located within the Strong Museum of Play, a highly interactive museum devoted to the history and exploration of play, for kids and adults alike.

Becoming the Main Character
Exhibit visitors may choose to have their drawn realities printed out in their very own storybook.
Captured through a remote crayon, a book is a tactile way keep this unique experience forever and to see oneself in Harold's place as the main character.
User Testing
My goal through user testing was to combine my user research with the book's storyline while leaving space for creativity. Here are some results from my drawing prompt testing -->
