Discover Me is a web experience to jumpstart an incoming college student’s self discovery journey using AI to inspire their perfect new style.
I Worked alongside BBBY's design team to explore college students' need for guidance and inspiration in becoming their best new selves, feeling confident in their choices, and being supported by their new peers.

AI Encouragement
AI is used to analyze the user's current bedroom, identifying their style and curating a more elevated room, and style. The user may then explore each item in their AI-generated room. This process confirms and encourages stylistic freedom and confidence.
Social Media Community
Sharing and traversing the room creations of peers brings inspiration, perspective and a sense of belonging.
User Testing
Before determining the solution of Discover ME, I interviewed a variety of college students and asked them about their emotional and physical transitions into their current school.
I found that, especially when moving further distances from home, students view college as a fresh start. In a search to find their best selves students will try new activities, make new friends and change their personal style.
The main pain point was that students often end up keeping their old room’s style as they lack inspiration, direction and confidence.

Discover Me is applicable for not only college, but for all transitions in life.
